project description
C.H.A.R.T. (2003)
M. Simon Levin with Alex Konyves, Theresa Hutton and Jean Routhier
Working collaboratively, we developed a mapping and monitoring station
that explored the public's relationship to local rivers and the notion of fresh
water. Individual river tours by boat and by hiking the banks were
scheduled. The outings were monitored through a custom GPS program to
create a schematic representation of the connections and explorations of
the local waterways. Coupling these drawings with images of fresh water,
recorded stories and water bottles, C.H.A.R.T produced a series of media
and object based relational maps.
